North East Rebels – A Volto Scoperto – Review

For the first time on RADIO PUNK we have an oi!-core band. We are talking about the North-East Rebels and their first album called “A Volto Scoperto”: 8 tracks that are full of italian oi! mixed with hardcore influences.
The album has great impact, the singing is angry in the typical style of oi! and it blends perfectly with the two guitar lines that give energy and a melodic feel to the album. Bass and drums are incredible especially in the changes of pace. From the lyrics we understand that the band is socio-politically involved, it is anti-racist and it has libertarian ideals.
I didn’t find any evident lack, the album is compact, there are anger and grit while the catchy tunes make the songs easy to remember. What else to say? This is an interesting and valiant release and I suggest you to listen to it and buy it!
