Joe Strummer: demos and rarities will be published this year

A great news for all Clash fans and Joe Strummer lovers! It has been announced that a collection of 32 songs written and recorded by The Clash frontman will be published soon and it will contain demos, rarities and other material from the period pre and post Clash.

Joe’s widow discovered the songs in the never-ending archive of the musician. And she asked Peter Moore to disentangle all the material from cassettes and eight-tracks recordings in order to obtain the final result.

And there it is! Inside this collection, which will be released at the end of September, we will find some tracks recorded with the 101’ers, some Clash demos, and some unreleased solo songs. Moreover, the album will be completed with a book of press articles on Joe and his annotations.
