Review: School Damage – Hello, Cruel World

School Damage from Toronto, Canada are coming, loaded with bad guitars, bad snare drum, bad voices. They reminds me a late 80’s hardcore mixed with a 90’s melodic punk rock, as Teen Idols decide to play Gorilla Biscuits tracks. The result is pleasant, at some points a little predictable but finally “Hello, Cruel World” is a nice album to listen once, twice and hundred times.
My favorite tracks are Your Generation and We’re Dying, Dudes for sure: the first is a surface-to-air missile, the second one is a punk rock concentrate with an engaging rhythm base.
The production is fine, sounds are well-finished but still lo-fi, in general tracks sounds alike: fast and aggressive. The album slides off easily, nothing further needs to be said except that I’m so impatient to listen them live!
