BULL BRIGADE – Vita Libertà – Review

After the masterpiece “Strade Smarrite”, Bull Brigade (Turin) are back with a brand new album “Vita Libertà”, presented at the social center Askatasuna on February, the 20th.
The eight-track-album is a little bit more melodic than the previous and, apart from a song with hip hop influences (“PSM”), it consists of OI!/Street punk songs with some hardcore influences and even of rock ‘n’ roll songs.
The record is homogeneous and there are several emotionally strong songs, starting from their lyrics e.g. “Mai confonderla”, “Motorcity”, “Vita Libertà”, “PSM” and “Perduto Amore”, which, in my opinion, are also the most successful.
The only criticism I would make is that the song order should be different because the album is great at the beginning but then it goes into a decline.
However the sounds are great and the songs are definitely original and not “already heard” as it often happens in this kind of music.
I really like this record even if it takes at least 2-3 plays before you can appreciate it properly and I think it is a little bit lesser than its predecessor but this is not a demerit for “Vita Libertà”, but a compliment for a high quality album which is “Strade Smarrite”.
Listen to this album but, above all, go see them live!
