Inarrestabili – Contro Il Vostro Niente – Review

Thanks to years of concerts and recordings, for those in the field, gli Inarrestabili are ready to prove who they really are. Between home-made tapes and concerts among friends, they are getting real now, dealing with an increasingly significant and niche record market. “Contro il vostro niente”, shows that they have reached a good composing maturity, despite the affinity, always present, with the musical genres that are our friends’ point of reference. This record is exactly the tangible proof of the band’s veracity, which leads them to confront the punk rock recording reality.

The songs’ structures and riffs often recall Californian punk, but despite this they begin to display personal arrangements that have been heard in their previous records and kick-started the band’s true sound.
A perhaps not really original sound, but still impetuous and wanting to communicate something new in a complicated and often bad environment. Is punk dead? I do not know, but they too are now in the circle of those who tried somehow to revitalize it, creating something that we could call Sardinian-Los Angeles, for so many resemblance to the one made daily by Fat Wreck. Even in the land of the Four Moors you can play good punk rock and in a good way, I would add.

Gli Inarrestabili are a real band, talking about life and the discomforts that derive from life in a way, pursuing ideals.
Outspoken, but never obvious or trivial, they deal effectively with issues such as exclusion, human rights, freedom of speech and expression, which emerges from their lyrics. Perhaps this is the synthesis of the band’s thinking: to fight and continue to do so, against years of prejudices and a thousand obstacles, without giving up, fighting “Contro il vostro niente” (Against Your Nothing) and no matter if in this record the proposals are not among the most original, what matters is to be honest with oneself, this is what punk is made of, pure passion.
