Review: Error 404 – Future Not Found
I receive and listen with curiosity to the debut album by Error 404, an up-and-coming band from Tradate in the province of Varese. The group members are very young: Mirko (vocals), Dave (rhythm guitar), Ricky (lead guitar), Zac (bass) and Scotch (drums).
The album, out on October 20th, playing with the name of the group itself is called “Future Not Found”. On the cover there’s a small dinosaur, the band explains that it’s their mascot and so they’re already nice because it could be a distant relative of our Radio Punk dinosaur.
“Future Not Found” contains 14 tracks, with almost all the lyrics written in English except two, “Nel Buio” and “Dittatore”, which are instead in Italian. The general subject is the one summarized in the title: a future that young people of our country cannot see, in work, music or in the fulfilling of their dreams. A “no future” 2.0, in short.
Musically, the guitars rule, with sounds that range from the barest to a more complex punk, but always very catchy. The vocal harmonies are also pleasant, as for example in track 8, which is called “New Song”. Another noteworthy track is the one that closes the album, “Pathetic”, one of the two singles already released together with “Can You Feel Me?”.
Overall, it’s an album that you can listen to with pleasure and where the guys show some good potential. Keep an eye on them, we’ll probably hear more about them.
