Review: Ira – Demo 2019

First EP by Ira from Civita Castellana

Here we go with the first EP by IRA, ¾ of the former band called “Malore” from Civita Castellana, “lovely” little town near Viterbo, in Italy. The 6 tracks could easily have been written between late 80’s and early 90’s by bands like “Impact” (Gabbie di cemento), “Indigesti” (Buio impenetrabile) or “Sottopressione”. With that being said, the Etrurian guys did their job here: with their heavy hardcore, screaming lead vocals and dirty choruses against modern capitalism and its monsters who seem to populate the mind of those who strive to survive it. Politics and personal experience mix up in this album to create a realistic (and pissed off!) portrait of our current society that’s making uncertainty our only confidence, despite people keep fighting hard against all of this. A few minutes full of fury and energy: old school lovers cannot miss this new EP.

Album Rating: 9/10
