Review: Slang Poor Kids- No Borders No Nations

Listen to the fresh energy of Slang Poor Kids!

One more listening around, and this time the good Tommaso proposes me the second Ep of the Slang Poor Kids from Orzinuovi, “No Borders No Nations“. Although the guys come from Lombardia, their Street Punk / hardcore brings me back to the California of bands like Anti-Flag and The Unseen, with rhythms that are pulled but not excessively hectic and the voice is balanced between screams and some “dirty” melodies. In the 4 pieces of the Ep  sing alongs abound and clearly the lyrics are very direct towards a ruling class that does nothing but repress those who try to raise their heads (1984), mystify reality through the media (Everything is a lie) and create wars between poor people with watchwords like “race” and “nation”. Against this little theatre, Slang Poor Kids, in line with punk values, propose us a world without barriers, just as the title of the Ep!

Score:8/10
