Review: Street Dogs – Stand For Something or Die For Nothing
We can’t complain because this year keeps going on with some good album releases, from loved bands and some surprises. In this last week, the band that gave us their new album is Street Dogs, Boston band lead by Mike McColgan, Dropkick Murphys’ former singer.
This is the Street Dogs’ sixth album in studio, and they continue to mix street punk, celtic influences and street tales from Boston and their neighbourhood, and to talk about the working class to which they belong and the necessity to react and stand up for their own rights.
Sure thing, the most noticeable songs are the title track, Stand For Something or Die For Nothing’, ‘Angels Calling’, featuring Slaine, rapper from Boston, and ‘Never Above You, Never Below You’.
It is a good album, well realized and mixed, and it will be a pleasure to listen to it live.
