The Manges – Bad Juju – Review
I thought for a long time about the introduction of this review and in the end I realized that the first thing to say is that I’m sorry for the delayed release of this review (4 years). We are sorry because The Manges are one of our favorite bands and “Bad Juju” is an album that we listened when it was released (2010). Nobody is forced to write album reviews, but when the review is about a historic Italian punk rock band, we feel obliged to write one and we have to apologize to this amazing band! So after this weird introduction I can start the review of “Bad Juju” by The Manges.
The band from La Spezia (or Las Pezia as it’s written on their T-Shirt) created 12 fast, straightforward and rigorously old school punk rock songs with their typical Ramones sound. This is the classic Manges record, a band that loves old school punk rock. This album is one of my favorite from this band. I have to add that playing this specific genre and still making tracks like these 12 with this charisma is very difficult. The best songs, in my opinion, are: “Bad Juju”, “The Last Of The Savages” and “Good Boy, Bad Time”. They are the catchiest songs in the record thanks to their lyrics.
So, I suggest you to listen to “Bad Juju” because it’s awesome and, if you like old school punk rock, this is the record for you!
