The Nutries + Acidez @ Prefabbricato Pordenone, 03-07-2018

It was a quiet Tuesday evening and instead it became an independent punk reunion thanks to the organizers, Iniziativa Libertaria and Teste Ribelli, who had the brilliant idea to book the Acidez, Mexican hardcore band with a sound like Casualties and Total Chaos.

At the Prefabbricato, anarchic social space in which you can engage and meet, there’s always time for a beer, have a look to the books and albums of the merch and talk a bit before the start of the gig. Opening the set we find The Nutries, hardcore band from Vicenza that goes incredibly fast, with violent sounds and a bass guitar which gives a war rhythm: even if it’s not my favourite kind of punk, I have to say it: it was a pleasure listen to them!

Then the Acidez went on stage and the atmosphere, even if we were just an hundred people, starts to get on fire. The four Mexican punks know how to do their job on stage, after 15 years on the road, and they engage their cabrones with fast hardcore songs and simple speeches. Their songs talk about liberty, revolution and independence from a system that tries to push us down. And so let’s move with songs such as ‘Rompiendo Cadenas’, ‘Camino al Infierno’ and ‘Sin Control’.

A great DIY night, which makes me think how much we need spaces and bands like that!
